We act for businesses and public organisations in all matters relating to court proceedings, most of them in the High Court or superior courts. A growing proportion of the cases we take on involve challenges to decisions made by public bodies or institutions.

The department has a varied caseload; areas of specific expertise include:

::	disputes arising out of building contracts
::	disputes arising out of wills and the administration of estates
::	shareholder disputes
::	the law relating to solicitors

The team includes a specialist in insolvency litigation, acting predominantly for receivers and liquidators.
